Elves

If we talk about elves in Kumgolia, people would probably ask you "what kind of elves?". So, here are you'll find info about all the kinds of elves that lives in Kumgolia.

High Elves

When you just say elves to the common human in Kumgolia, he or she would problably think about the beutiful and noble high elves. These elves mostly live in Műmé, the capital of Ivé, the elvish continent. So, how do you recognize a high elf? Well, of course they have the pointy ears, but so does the other elves have too...but, almost all high elves have golden coloured hair, maybe a bit reddish in some cases, while their eyes are either blue or green. High elves are usually pretty tall and walks around with dignity, wich makes other people quite nervous around them. For about 300 years ago, elves in general didn't like humans or non-elves at all, but nowdays you shouldn't be too surprised if a high elf wants to hear your travelling stories...they are known for being very curious about other peoples lives.

City Elves

Even though high elves are the elves that are mostly associated with the term "elf", the city elves are the most common elves in Kumgolia. They mostly look like humans, except for the pointy ears, of course. The city elves are said to be a mix of all kinds of elves in Kumgolia, and that might be true, since they don't have a specific look or behaviour, really. City elves mostly lives in the cities here and there in Kumgolia, naturally, and are quite good at handle more than the two languages they are learnt (Elvish and Kumgolian).

Forest Elves

Born in the beutiful forests of Ivé, the forest elves are learned to live in trees, and are very acrobatic. It seldom happends, but when you meet a wooden elf on the streets of a city, you'll probably notice their brownish/greenish hair, dark eyes, slender body and camouflage-like clothes. Wooden elves likes to brag and tease people, and if someone would say that he or she is better in something (probably in something the elf brags about), there will surley be a competition about it...and, in most of the cases, the wooden elf will win, and make the challenger feel really ashamed, at least up to a month after the competition occured. So, don't get unfriendly with a wooden elf. You'll probably regret it, since they are smart, tricky and teasingly.

Mountain Elves

Living in high mountains, the mountain elves are usually very athletic, since they have to learn to move quickly without getting tired while breathing the thin mountain air. Mountain elves aren't known for being very talkative, so don't expect to have much of a conversation with them. Mountain elves are almost always dark haired, having a bit "smaller" eyes and nose than the usual elf. The usual dressing for elves living in the mountains are warm and simple clothes, and usually not too long hair, in case it would freeze.

Fire Elves

The most fearsome of all elves, and maybe in all Kumgolia, are the fire elves. Being hatched by volcano stones, they are practically born with a very hot temper. They are actually not very common in the big cities of Kumgolia, instead they are taken care of by other fire elves who lives in their hidden towns near volcanos. But, in some unusual cases, these fearsome elves gets taken care of by orphanages, hoping they will not get the hot temper. But usually, even a fire elf that have lived with other elves, and is nice and cheerfull, will get a personality change at the age of 150-something wich turns them into the dreadful elves they really are. So, what makes these elves so fearful? Well, the fact that they have grown fangs and are capable of killing people who just irritates them is a good reason being careful around these elves. There are even rumours that fire elves are cannibals, but it's not yet really a stated fact. So, be extra careful if you meet elves with firey coloured hair and eyes, fangs and a hot temper.

Dark Elves

Probably originally a mix between elves and night people, dark elves are known for their calm temper and quick brain. Even though the dark elves are a cross between night people and elves, they look like your usual elves, but are always having white hair and a bit darker skin tone than usual. You can actually never tell where you are having a dark elf, since they're very good att keeping their poker face, even in very tricky situations. For about 200 years ago, dark elves were not very liked by other elves, but later on, they have been more and more accepted by the elvish society, and nowdays, it's said that your best friend is a dark elf...and your worst enemy is a dark elf as well. There is actually some truth to that, dark elves are very loyal to their friends, but having a dark elf on your bad side is not very pleasant either.
